Suppose nine North Koreans crossed the border into South Korea. Would
that constitute an "invasion?" Of course not. At worst, it would be
a minor immigration problem. But suppose we up the number a tad. Suppose
three million North Koreans pour over the border into South Korea. Now,
that would be an invasion. We've got troops stationed on the DMZ to stop
that kind of thing.
Consider a few more examples:
If 205 million Chinese crossed the border into Russia, would that be
illegal immigration, or invasion? To ask the question is to answer it. If
21 million Russians poured into Germany, NATO would be all over it. And if 46
million Americans landed in Iraq, well, Bush's "surge" of 20,000 or so troops
would be a drop in the bucket.
Can you figure out what all these numbers have in common? Give
up? Each of these hypothetical invasions involves sending the same
percentage of the invading country's population into another country: 16%. Guess
what percentage of Mexico's population is currently in the U.S. illegally?
That's right: about 16%.
Mexico's population -- counting only those Mexicans who are still in
Mexico -- is about 108 million. Approximately 20 million more Mexicans
live illegally in the United States; some say more, some less. Add the two
numbers, and it works out to about 16% of Mexico's population living here in the
U.S.
We have troops stationed in South Korea and Germany to prevent foreign
invasion. The least we can do here in America to preserve our own nation's
territorial integrity is elect a Mayor in our second-biggest city who will let
our police enforce our nation's immigration laws.

One reason nations lose wars is that they prepare for
the last war, not the next war. The United States is perfectly
prepared to fight the last war: if any enemy tried to drive tanks across
our borders, fly bombers into our airspace, or sail warships into our harbors,
we would easily prevail.
Unfortunately, we are in a new kind war that most of
us don't even know is in underway. It is the most innovative and
successful war ever waged in history. And we're losing it, badly. I'm not
talking about the war with Islamic terrorists. I'm talking about the war with
Mexico. Full

It's time to send Antonio Villaraigosa back to Mexico
where he belongs. We've had it with sanctuary cities and this Mexican
invasion that is destroying our country. Please send this message to
everyone you can and save Los Angeles, home of GreatAmericanJournal.com
Illegal Immigration
U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein issued
a report estimating that 80% of
L.A.’s notorious “18th Street gang” members “are illegal aliens from Mexico and
Central America.” When KABC 790’s talk show host Doug McIntyre confronted
Villaraigosa with that fact during a debate in which I participated in 2005,
Villaraigosa’s only response was to say “that’s inflammatory,” and to claim he
was unfamiliar with the term “sanctuary city.”
Talking about illegal immigration
may indeed strike some as “inflammatory,” but that does not justify ignoring the
issue. Los Angeles has been a “sanctuary city” for illegal aliens since
1979. It remains one today because Mayor Villaraigosa refuses to revoke
Special Order 40, which prevents our police from enforcing federal immigration
laws.
Now that the Senate has prevented
President Bush from granting blanket amnesty, we need to end amnesty in
America’s second-biggest city. Los Angeles needs a mayor who will stop City Hall
from aiding and abetting violations of federal immigration laws. Just as
our police enforce federal laws on kidnapping, bank robbery, counterfeiting,
etc., they should enforce federal laws on immigration. Entering the country
illegally is a crime, as is harboring illegal aliens, or aiding and abetting them. Aliens who enter the
country illegally can and should be imprisoned for up to six months. (Click here to read how enforcement of the law has reduced
illegal immigration in Del Rio, Texas.)
If I am elected Mayor, I will revoke
Special Order 40 immediately and in its entirety. I will then immediately and
sign a formal agreement between our City and the federal government, pursuant to
Section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, to
cooperate in enforcing federal immigration laws. This approach is already working in such places as North Carolina. It can work here,
too. And I will ensure everyone working for our city -- and everyone working for
a vendor who does business with the city -- is here legally, just as Mission Viejo now does via internet through a federal
program. This isn’t “inflammatory.” It is the rule of law.
