Democrats Are Pro
War
by JR Dieckmann
Absolutely they are. The problem is, they have chosen the wrong enemies.
Instead of supporting war against Islamofascism, crime, and socialism in
America, they have declared war on prosperity and success, war on our troops
fighting in Iraq, and war on the sun and Earth's natural climate. These are the
three principle issues that all three leading Democrat candidates for president
are campaigning on.
War on prosperity: All three leading Democrats want to
raise your taxes. They tell you it's a tax hike on the "rich" but their
definition of "the rich" is anyone with an income above mid middle class and
anyone else who shows a reasonable profit from success in business. Such tax
hikes are not confined to only those who would pay them, but will trickle down
to the lowest common denominator, the consumer. So when Democrats say they want
to raise taxes on the rich, what they are actually saying is that they will
raise taxes on you and everyone else. But it's not limited to just income tax.
Already the Democrat controlled Congress is trying to raise cigarette and
gasoline taxes and many other taxes that do not apply only to "the rich." There
is a list a mile long of federal taxes that effect everyone so don't think
you're going to escape tax hikes just because you're in the lower half of wage
earners.
War on the Troops: No need for any lengthy explanation on
this one. We all know how Democrats in Congress as well as those running for
president have been doing everything they can to prevent the U.S. military from
seeing success in Iraq. They tied the hands of our fighting troops for years
until Gen. David Petraeus took command of "the surge" and got tough with
insurgents and foreign al Qaeda fighters. But the Dems war on the troops wasn't
confined only to the battlefield, they also have tried to prevent military
intelligence officers and CIA agents from conducting any useful interrogations
of captured suspects at Guantanamo and other prison camps. Then with their
anti-American rhetoric and propaganda heard around the globe, have encouraged
even more Islamics to join the jihad against America and the west resulting in
the death of more American troops.
War on the sun and Earth's climate: All three leading
Democrat candidates, no, make that all Democrat candidates for president have
fallen for the greatest hoax since the
Piltdown man, "man made
global warming" and intend to redistribute the wealth to fight it. They all
profess that by lowering the standard of living in America while raising the
standard of living in 3rd world countries, we can control the weather. Now I ask
you, is anyone who is foolish enough to believe that, smart enough to lead the
free world?
Carbon dioxide is not a hazardous substance in spite of what the EPA says.
It is a necessary part of our atmosphere. Without CO2 plants could not grow and
that includes our food. Without CO2 there could be no life on Earth. In
addition, there is no proof that CO2 contributes to a "green house effect" on a
global scale. Geological records and ice core samples prove that CO2 levels in
the atmosphere trail rises in global temperature, not lead them.
And what's more, the current levels of CO2 in our atmosphere are a mere .038% of
the total atmospheric gasses. Since the 1970s, vehicle emissions of CO2 have
been reduced by 90%.
But there has been a 30% increase in CO2 over the past 100 years. If
records are accurate then that is true. But we must put it in perspective.
Raymond S. Kraft explained it this way: The year is 1900 and I have $10,000. I
give you $3.00. Now you have $3 and I have $9,997. Each year for the next 100
years I give you 1c. The year is now 2000. You have $4.00 and I still have
$9,996. This is exactly the same ratio we are talking about with the 30%
increase of CO2 in our atmosphere. It's hardly worth destroying the American way
of life over. But it does fool a lot of people into supporting the Democrat
socialist agenda.
So there you have it. Proof positive that Democrats are pro war. Just ask
any of the leading Democrat candidates and they will tell you that the leading
issues of their campaign are war on prosperity, war on our troops, and war on
the sun and Earths climate.
On the other side
Meanwhile, on the Republican side we have a number of candidates all trying
to outdo each other to show that they are more conservative than the other
guy. Did they learn a lesson from the 2006 congressional election?
Perhaps they did but if you can believe the polls, apparently the majority of
conservative Republicans didn't. Otherwise how can we explain why the two
best conservative candidates, Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson are not leading in
the polls but instead we show the more liberal of the Republican candidate
occupying the top spots.
In 2005, when President Bush tried to appoint a less than conservative
candidate, Harriet Miers, to the Supreme Court, conservatives rose up and
demanded the nomination be withdrawn. In 2007 when Congress tried to pass
an amnesty bill for illegal aliens, conservatives rose up and defeated that
bill. So why now are not conservatives rising up and speaking out against
the liberal Republican candidates now leading the polls for the next president
of the United States? Are we being misled by the media polls, or are a
majority of Republican just so uninformed about who their candidates really
are? The answer will be known soon enough when we see the results of the
primary elections.
