Perseverance: Reflections from a Conversation with Duane “Dog” Chapman
by Paul A. Ibbetson
On June 24, 2008, I had a lengthy interview with Duane “Dog” Chapman. Chapman is the star of A&E’s returning hit show Bounty Hunter, where he will once again track felons on the run before a nation of thrilled television viewers. Chapman was gracious enough to take a break from what will be season number five of the Bounty Hunter program to talk with me on my radio show the “Conscience of Kansas.” I think the interview had many exciting facets, and I invite readers to watch both part one and part two of the YouTube version of our conversation. What I would like to focus my discussion on today is my own reflections on the controversy surrounding the man known as “Dog” Chapman.

Radical Environmentalism: The "Imperfect Storm"
by Christopher G. Adamo
Liberals inadvertently delivered a telling message in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. In essence, it is the same message they have sent on the heels of every major calamity, whether natural or man-made, to befall the nation during the past several decades. Let a heat wave hit or a bridge collapse, and their first impulse is to assign guilt, invariably among their political opposition. But by their immediate and hysterical finger-pointing, they telegraph their desperation to avoid any culpability for the real problems at hand.

Global warming deniers; get ready for the coming inquisition
by Vincent Gioia
I wondered how long it would take to come to this. We have had calls for the firing of scientists and other disbelievers of the religion of the day; can the inquisition and McCarthy-style hearings be far behind? I can hear it now - "Are you now or ever have been a denier of global warming caused by mankind?" The first shot across the bow, so to speak, has been fired in England. Here is a report appearing in the British paper, The Guardian:

Heller: Gun Bans Found To Be Unconstitutional (Again)
by John Longenecker
The Supreme Court of The United States announced that it was overturning the Washington, D.C. Gun Ban and affirming lower court’s ruling against D.C. But does this affect gun laws around the country? It should, as 80 Million gun owners invoke the law while handfuls of officials were found to break it. The Supreme Court's ruling that the D.C. Gun Ban is unconstitutional is another victory for all of America, and it furnishes a new and updated roadmap of guidance for more Liberty in America for all. For All.

The World According to Barack, No. 2
by Paul R. Hollrah
June 20, 2008 – Obama spoke at a fundraiser in Jacksonville, Florida. In his speech, he said, “It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy.” Was he speaking of the economy that has kept inflation at low single digits for nearly eight years, while maintaining essentially full employment? Was he speaking of the economy that has experienced steady growth while recovering from the economic fallout of 9/11? Was he speaking of the economy that experienced steady growth while the country fought expensive wars on two fronts?

Is American law now determined by one man as in a science fiction drama?
by Vincent Gioia

Thanks to the flappable Justice Anthony Kennedy the Second Amendment remains in the constitution but it is outrageous that four members of the court wanted to throw it out. Justice Antonin Scalia wrote a precisely clear opinion upholding the right of the people to keep and bear arms on an individual basis. But the ink wasn’t dry before leftists of all stripe "found" language in the opinion that will allow other judges to confirm all manner of restrictions on gun owners’ rights. Unfortunately Scalia probably had to include some of these loop holes in the opinion to placate Justice Kennedy so he would join the majority of five.

New Orleans and Cedar Rapids
by Paul R. Hollrah
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the pipsqueak radical environmentalist who has chosen rabble-rousing as his life’s work, wrote an op-ed column placing the blame for Hurricane Katrina squarely on the shoulders of George W. Bush. His reasoning? Bush opposed ratification of the Kyoto Accords on “global warming.”

When Losing Isn’t Affordable: November and The War on Islamofascism
by Rene Guerra
Unambiguous success in Iraq and unequivocal victory in the rest of the global war on Islamofascism is not a choice; we don’t have any other alternative, for it is a matter of our very survival. It is not a matter of “prestige” or any other hubristic notion; it is about our own hide, particularly when America faces the grim prospect of Barack Hussein Obama becoming the next president of the United States of America.

To “Suspend” Is Not “To End” – It Still Ain’t Over For Hillary
by Joan Swirsky
In one of the more bizarre, tasteless, and utterly revealing statements of this presidential campaign season, Hillary explained before the June primaries why she was not dropping out of the race, in spite of the fact that her opponent was so far ahead in the delegate count. “We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California,” she said. She might as well have said: “If Obama dies, I win!”

Democracy Hijacked, Movement for Democratic Change
by JB Williams

In the good ole days, when liberals were actually “liberal,” focused upon individual liberty above all else, and Democrats were actually “democratic” instead of dictatorial elitists focused more on not counting votes than on letting every voice be heard, the words “democratic change” had a very different meaning. The concept of democracy has since been hijacked. In the 2008 race for the White House, the Democrat candidate with the most popular support is Hillary Clinton. But somehow, the DNC nominee is Barack Hussein Obama.

Democrats Continue to Make Fools of Themselves
by JB Williams
Allow me to begin by stating for the record that I realize how politically incorrect it is to single out a specific group of people and acknowledge their overtly foolish behaviors. But it seems we have reached a moment of insanity, when enough really should be enough! It seems I need to give a speech to Democrats, which I have given to my children on several similar occasions. As Forest Gump learned from his Momma, “stupid is as stupid does.”

Healing, Hope, and Restoration For Our Courageous Troops
by Marie Jon'
Physicians and nurses are a part of the surgical teams that bring our troops hope and healing. They are proud to serve awesomely brave men and women of America's armed services who fight the war against terror in Afghanistan and Iraq. With skilled, trained hands they help our wounded warriors heal both physically and emotionally. Dedicated medical teams with heart and soul provide our troops a faster return to a well and productive life. They help improve the quality of life of our injured service men and women.

Unshackle American enterprise to increase oil supplies
by Vincent Gioia
Try as I might, I can’t come up with one thing the government has done that couldn’t have been done better, less expensively and more successfully by a non government business. Sure, the government has succeeded with special projects that required a lot of money like the atomic bomb, going to the moon and tax collecting, but does anyone want to entrust the government with more mundane things like nuclear power plants, telecommunication, oil production and oil refining, and health care?

Obama Would Be A Clinton Third Term
by Christopher G. Adamo
Forget about the rancor of the Democrat Primary season. That is all history now. In truth, the heated rivalry between the two candidates was hardly an indicator of any philosophical or moral differences between them, but only a strident argument about which liberal "messiah" deserved to be president. Even the fierceness of their efforts was itself a reflection of comparable components of raw ambition that each possesses.

Polar Bears More Important Than Western Civilization
by Randall H. Nunn
On Sunday, an article from the Associated Press stated that, less than a month after declaring polar bears a threatened species, “the Bush administration is giving oil companies permission to annoy and potentially harm them in pursuit of oil and natural gas.” As far as the Associated Press (and indeed, all of the mainstream media) is concerned, the survival of Western Civilization in the face of confiscatory pricing by the world’s dictatorships is of small concern compared to the very real threat of annoyance to polar bears. Is it any wonder that readership of the mainstream press is falling?

The sooner we accept who are enemy is,
the sooner and better we will be able to defend ourselves
by Vincent Gioia
Three Ohio men were convicted very recently of plotting to recruit and train terrorists to kill American soldiers in Iraq. The case was put together with help from a former soldier who posed as someone who wanted to help. It’s very likely you did not know about the plot to kill American soldiers, let alone the conviction of three men in Cleveland, Ohio, because our news media doesn’t want to expose the mission of Muslims to kill Americans.

Direct Election v. Electoral College
by Nancy Salvato
The constitutional amendment process is a complicated and lengthy affair. This is because we cannot be certain what consequences might arise from a seemingly minor alteration of the Constitution. To be sure, exchanging the electoral-vote system for direct election would adversely impact the entire constitutional and political structure of the United States. To begin, our Constitution is dedicated to securing everybody’s rights. This requires that we be concerned not only with size, but with the character of the majorities voting our president to office.

BAND-AIDS ON CANCER & THE PROGRESSIVE FLAT TAX
by Raymond S. Kraft
Barack Obama and John McCain both propose a grab bag of tinkerings with the Tax Code, raising taxes on the rich, cutting taxes on corporations, cutting taxes on the middle class, this and that, tweaks and twiddles here and there in an enormously complex accretion of legislation and IRS Regulations called The Tax Code, that leaves me wondering if they aren't Tweedledum and Tweedledee, or Tweedledeedler and Tweedledumber.

The Five Follies of Keith Olbermann
by Paul A. Ibbetson

For some time now a struggling MSNBC has employed a Bush hating mad hatter by the name of Keith Olbermann. Olbermann appears to be on an endless mission to disparage the president as well as the war on terror, and in doing so has created a very interesting example of the inner workings of the far left liberal. First, in highlighting the five follies of Olbermann it is only fair to give the disclaimer that these failings are not Olbermann’s alone but are general characteristics of the far left.

U.S. Supreme Court Offers Terrorists O.J. Treatment
by JB Williams

Five members of the U.S. Supreme Court just sided with known terrorists currently detained at Gitmo in Cuba. In doing so, they not only provided “aid and comfort” to enemies of our state, but offered Constitutional Rights written solely to protect the rights of innocent legal U.S. citizens to known terrorists, and placed every American life in mortal danger in that process.

The Cynical Politics of Global Warming and Its Hobgoblins
By Dr. Mark W. Hendrickson
In “The Cynical Politics of Global Warming and Its Hobgoblins” (831 words), faculty member, economist, and contributing scholar with the Center for Vision & Values at Grove City College—Dr. Hendrickson—notes, “Apocalyptic GW became Al Gore’s hobgoblin of choice.” “Indeed, recent estimates are that $50 billion has been spent promoting the GW theory (mostly governments and international organizations using tax money) and less that $1 billion to question it.” Yet, as Dr. Hendrickson points out, “There are signs that Gore’s movement is losing credibility,” as British government officials have now “ruled that Gore’s award-winning film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ … is a work of political propaganda, and not scientifically sound.”

Will political correctness destroy America?
by Vincent Gioia
Many nations have been destroyed by foreign invaders ands some empires have self destructed from within. Rome is an example of both and the Soviet Union and Russia are examples of the latter. But no nation in history has yet self destructed because its citizens invited enemies to do the destruction; no nation that is until now when "political correctness" has planted the seeds of self annihilation.

Energy Independence and the Two Presidential Candidates
by Rene Guerra
McCain Tells Oil Companies to Share Their Profits," reads the title of the CNS News report. Share their profits? What’s new here? Is it not that, anyway, what most companies do with legitimate company owners -- shareholders, that is -- who, by the way, in the case of oil companies, include most workers with 401K plans? Alas, McCain talks about “sharing” (codeword for “confiscating”) those profits by way of distributing them amongst everyone in America -- ticks, fleas and bedbugs included -- as if someone else’s profits were a piñata for all.

Sunset On The Clinton Era
by Christopher G. Adamo
Momentarily setting aside the tragic impact on America, should Barack Obama be elected president, it is nonetheless worthwhile to ponder the significance of Hillary Clinton’s announcement last Saturday that she is dropping out of the presidential race. To be precise, she is “suspending” her campaign which, considering the history of the Clinton dynasty, could indicate that in her mind, this contest is not yet settled.

A Disapproving Nation
by JB Williams

Americans don’t seem to like anything about their country today. Disapproving nation is the best way to describe the current sentiment of the American electorate as we head into a very important election cycle. According to Real Clear Politics most recent averaged poll results, only 29% of Americans approve of the job George W. Bush is doing as President. 66.8% say they disapprove. At first blush, that sounds awful, until you see how the country feels about the Democrats who control congress and the press who props them up.

THE END OF GREENISM
by Raymond S Kraft
It hasn't quite hit the radar of the Liberal Democrats, but as the price of gasoline soars above $4 a gallon, and here in California it's closing in on $5, they're going to be facing a hard choice with no good options. They will be forced to (a) throw the Greens under the bus, and embrace the idea of drilling for oil in America, in ANWR, off the coasts, wherever it may be found, or (b) throw the US economy under the bus, and lose the November election to a Republican landslide, no matter who their candidate is.

Democrats and Their Democracy
The End of a Free Republic
by JB Williams
Karl Marx was right. “Democracy is the road to socialism” - in a nation hell-bent upon voting itself gifts from the public trough. Once an electorate is hooked on government solutions to personal self-induced problems, like a junkie on crack, the democratic process once used to guarantee individual freedom is perverted into a tool used to extinguish individual freedom. Democrats call it a greater good. The rest of the world calls it socialism.

Dear John
by Paul R. Hollrah
I think most people would agree that you made a pretty good speech in Kenner, Louisiana. The problem is… and I’m sure others have told you this… it reads far better than it sounded. It makes one wonder if you actually rehearse your speeches before you deliver them. Having been in public life for as long as you have, one wonders why you sometimes appear surprised by the words and phrases that suddenly appear on your teleprompter. However, that idiosyncrasy is not nearly as disconcerting as the quirky smiles that you inject into your delivery… often in totally inappropriate places.

Principles vs. Politics - Conservatives in the Crossfire
by JB Williams
At a time when American voters have been sold the bill of goods known as “Democratic Socialism,” the nanny states promise to solve personal problems at the expense of freedom and liberty for the 50% of Americans who pay taxes, conservatives find themselves caught in the crossfire of a centrist campaign season. What happens next may decide the foreseeable future of a nation on the brink of the worst possible kind of “change.”

How Many Rights Are Democrats Willing to Forfeit?
by Frank Salvato
With the announcement that Hillary Clinton is abandoning her quest for the Oval Office the Democrat National Committee (DNC) – and specifically the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee – has effectively selected the candidate for their party. I say selected because, by construct, the decision making process was taken away from the party faithful and placed in the hands of an elitist class of party insiders.

From Biofuels to Barack Hussein Obama
by Rene Guerra
Biofuels are creating a garden variety of problems worldwide. Unintended consequences? Or...intended? Who is being blamed for the mess, which the leftist environmentalists started? The good old USA...of course! And who is blaming the USA? The Left...of course! First of all, it must be understood that BHO and his acolytes can wreck America irreversibly, to the degree that pointing fingers in the aftermath would mean nothing.

Where Is Obama’s Testicular Fortitude?
by Joan Swirsky
I wish that Obama – with his natural-born gifts of intelligence, soaring oratory, and political passion – were a conservative. We conservatives would cherish such a gifted politician. But, alas, he remains a hard-core Marxist who only recently – and solely for calculated political reasons – distanced himself from fellow radicals and Chicago “machine” operatives Rev. Jeremiah Wright, domestic terrorist William Ayers, Rev. Michael Pfleger, convicted fixer Tony Rezko and the Windy City's favorite extortionist, Jesse Jackson.

Was the Iraq War Worth It?
by Jeff Lukens

They say if it bleeds, it leads on the nightly news. The recent silence from the mainstream news media on Iraq, however, is speaking volumes. While the war remains unpopular, our success there has been unmistakable. The Iraqi people, with the help of the U.S. led coalition, have succeeded in establishing the world’s first Arab democracy. Their achievement is a milestone in the war on terror and for the cause of liberty.

10 MILLION JOBS: THE HIGH COST OF SAVING ANWR
by Raymond S. Kraft
At $130 a barrel, the real cost, the hidden cost, of Democrats' refusal to open up the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) and the oil resources off our coasts is 10 million jobs. Ten million jobs for middle-class, working-class Americans that are being "outsourced" to OPEC daily, even as the Senate debates bizarrely complex "carbon cap and trade" legislation.

Once again congress ignores the will of the people
to further a deceptive global warming agenda
by Vincent Gioia
Even though no one expects it to become law this year, a desperate effort is underway to enact the so-called "Climate Security Act", the brainchild of Senators Lieberman and Warner. As I have written before, among other horrors it would impose "cap-and-trade" mandates on anything that generates carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and that pretty much includes everything in our daily lives from electricity to cars.

Scott McClellan – A Mouse Under Foot
by Paul R. Hollrah
Scott McClellan, George W. Bush’s former press secretary, seems like a nice enough guy… a little fat, a little short, and a little bald… but all in all a nice guy. It’s just a shame that no one in the Bush White House warned him of the dangers of being under foot when elephants fight. He could have saved himself a lot of grief, a lot of self-inflicted pain, and a whole lot of public humiliation… which is yet to come.

The greatest threat to freedom since communism
by Vincent Gioia
"The largest threat to freedom, democracy, the market economy and prosperity," warns Czech President Vaclav Klaus, "is no longer socialism. It is, instead, the ambitious, arrogant, unscrupulous ideology of environmentalism." Why does it take someone from Czechoslovakia to express the obvious; are there no sensible people left in congress? Rush Limbaugh calls them "environmental communists"; no wonder Vaclav Klaus recognizes these people for what they are after having lived under the yoke of communism for so long.

The Network Behind the Bush-bashing Book
By Cliff Kincaid
Publisher Peter Osnos, who admits to personally working with former Bush White House press secretary Scott McClellan on his new book, What Happened, began his career as an assistant to I.F. Stone, the pro-communist “journalist” named as a Soviet agent of influence who was the uncle of Weather Underground communist terrorist Kathy Boudin. But the connections don’t end there. Boudin’s son Chesa was raised by Barack Obama associates Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, who were Boudin’s comrades in the communist terrorist group... Obama stands to benefit from the McClellan book because it was obviously crafted, under the guidance of Osnos,to inflict maximum damage on President Bush and...

The President Has Kept Us Safe
By THANE ROSENBAUM
With President Bush-bashing still a national pastime, it's notable how much international terrorism has been forgotten, and how little credit the president has received for keeping Americans safe. This is a difficult issue for me. I didn't vote for President Bush – twice. And as a human-rights law professor, the events at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, along with various elements of the Patriot Act and the National Security Agency's wiretapping of Americans, are all greatly troubling to me.

Loyalty to Self Over Country
by Frank Salvato
Like it or not, the reality is that we live in an extremely self-centered society. If you take issue with this statement just watch how pedestrians enter into crosswalks during rush hour. Ignoring that pedestrians only have the right of way when they are within the crosswalk, today’s bipeds don’t hesitate at all to walk directly in front of moving vehicles, expecting to be protected from trauma by their imagined “right” to occupy a space versus a 4,000lbs vehicle. Former Presidential Press Secretary Scott McClellan is engaging the talk show circuit to promote his new “tell all” book about his disillusionment with his White House years.

American workers will pay for climate change redistribution of wealth laws
by Vincent Gioia
Despite 31,000 scientists debunking the idea that you and I are responsible for climate change on the planet, congress is going forward with enactment of laws that will have disastrous effects on our economy and way of life. Members of Congress are considering several bills designed to combat climate change. Chief among them is Senate bill 2191--America's Climate Security Act of 2007--introduced by Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) and John Warner (R-VA). This bill would set a limit on the emissions of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide from the combustion of coal, oil, and natural gas.

Czech President’s “Inconvenient Challenge” to Al Gore
by Christopher G. Adamo
Since leaving office, former Vice-President Al Gore has gained enormous stature within certain circles on the world scene, acquiring it per the standard liberal formula. Taking up his “Earth in the Balance” cause, he produced the feature length movie “An Inconvenient Truth,” which is replete with fantastic prophesies of doom for the planet unless America immediately regresses to third-world squalor.

Sunday Fare At Trinity United: Father Michael Pfleger
by Marie Jon'
Contrary to popular belief (and that of the secular left wing press), it is relevant that Sen. Barack Obama has chosen spiritual mentors who are bigots and hostile to the United States. Plainly put, Obama has too many close relationships with people who are morally bankrupt. Obama engenders no confidence that he would uphold the entirety of The Bill of Rights or show respect for civic tolerance if he became president.

Carbon credit markets open for business,
and there is big money to be made

by Vincent Gioia
The carbon credit scam is in full advance around the world and that means there are trillions of dollars to be made. Finally the real reason for the new religion founded by Al Gore is becoming apparent even to those who have refused to see the truth and follow blindly into the man-made global warming abyss.

When Winning Isn’t an Option!
Flirting with the War on Terror
by JB Williams

The most advanced military power on earth has not been allowed to win a war since WWII. Winning offends people, namely the losers. Therefore, in a politically correct world, winning is not an option. Instead of defeating enemies, we now seek to appease them first, and contain them when they refuse to be appeased. Winning is not an option… It hurts people’s feelings. Many Americans have put the events of 9/11 in their past and moved on to pretend that it was an isolated event that can never happen again. Though they are distantly aware that international terror organizations still plot and plan against the west, time without incident has driven public concern over national security to the bottom of the list of things to worry about.

Big government is the problem, not the solution
by Vincent Gioia
One of the candidates seeking the presidential nomination of his party said that high gasoline prices will affect how Americans drive - gee, do really think? This is just one of the many profundities spoken by Barack Obama from behind his teleprompter. We have seen gasoline prices go up strikingly before; sometimes we even had to wait in line for the privilege of paying more money so we could use our cars. The excuse then was we had a shortage of oil; which turned out not to be true.

WITH FRIENDS LIKE DEMOCRATS, WHO NEEDS ENEMIES?
by Raymond S Kraft
A few weeks ago I saw $4 gasoline for the first time, at Chevron in the little town of Mt. Shasta, just off Interstate 5 between Redding, California, and Ashland, Oregon. Three days later, on (appropriately) April 1st, the lead headline in the San Francisco Chronicle was "House Moves To Protect Coast From Oil Drilling," explaining how the US House of Representatives "approved legislation to ban development in federal waters along 76 miles of Sonoma County's coastline . . . the newly protected zone would stretch from Bodega Bay to Point Arena and would extend about 50 miles off the coast -2, 093 square nautical miles, an area roughly the size of Delaware." This illustrates perfectly, in a microcosm, why so many of America's problems are Democrats' fault. When confronted with big challenges, they usually do the wrong thing.

Why have Democrats forgotten about Iraq?
by Vincent Gioia
You can always tell when things are going well in Iraq – critics are generally silent and the Democrats move on to other bogus issues. However the best indication is newspapers don’t report the unfortunate death of each of our brave American fighting men and women.

Whistles, Bells, and Red Lights Flashing
by By Marie Jon'
Americans who know the values and benefits of living a spiritual life are familiar with claims that Barack Obama is a kind of a Messianic transfiguring leader who wants to unite all Americans. Many however, wonder why he would gravitate to a religious theology which, unfortunately, is centered upon the color of a person's skin.

Liberals and Libertarians - DEAD Wrong on National Security
by JB Williams

Hillary Clinton was for the war on terror including in Iraq, before she had to become against it to attract her Code Pink feminazi core for a White House bid. Barack Obama says he would have been against it from the start, had he been out of his political diapers at the time those tough decisions had to be made. Both are running on ideological hindsight and campaign rhetoric.

Obama As National Unifier
by Paul R. Hollrah
The March 25 edition of the New York Times carried a political memo by Robin Toner, titled, “Obama’s Test: Can a Liberal Be a Unifier?” Toner begins by reminding us that, “At the core of Senator Barack Obama’s campaign is a promise that he can transcend the starkly red-and-blue politics of the last 15 years, end the partisan and ideological wars, and build a new governing majority.”

A Nation in Crisis
by Frank Salvato
People, the news media and pundits like to throw around the word “crisis.” The mainstream media and their ilk tell us that we are currently experiencing a crisis in the sub-prime mortgage market, an economic crisis, a crisis with the environment, a crisis in race relations and with oil prices. There is a crisis with the polar bears, the environmentalists tell us, as they taut their questionable consensus on the global warming crisis, this even as 31,000 scientists rebuke their “consensus.”

‘Dear American Voter’ – George Soros Says The World Should Pick Our President
by Warner Todd Huston

We’ve seen it over and over, people in Europe who imagine that they should be allowed to vote U.S. presidential elections. Some of these people imagine that they should have a voice in our elections because, they say, America is so supremely powerful that the man who becomes our president makes decisions that will impact the entire world.

GOP Congressional Disasters: The "McCain Effect"
by Christopher G. Adamo
For nearly the last four decades, a consistent pattern has been established in the Republican political arena, whereby both good and bad fortunes can be directly correlated to the overt conservatism, or the lack thereof, in the party. The more conservative the party and its candidates are, the better they do on election day. Conversely, as GOP members seek "common ground" with liberal Democrat rivals, their prospects at the ballot box diminish.

Democrats Still Playing Politics While Troops Await “Support”
by JB Williams
According to chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, the emergency war funding bill currently stalled in the Senate must be passed by Memorial Day or the Defense Department would have to delay paychecks beginning June 15, 2008. But this was no last minute budget request from the Commander-in-Chief that congress has not had time to approve. The passage of the war funding bill was not an “emergency” when it was first requested by Bush or introduced in the House.

The Real Link Between Solar Energy, Ocean Cycles And Global Temperature
by Stephen Wilde
This article expands and updates my previous articles and should be read with them, which explain that according to real world observations the matter of solar cycle length is very significant.  Variations in solar energy as a driver for global climate change have been wholly discounted by the IPCC and climate modellers on the basis that something they call Total Solar Irradiance has not changed enough between 1975 and 1998 to make a significant contribution to the climate warming observed during that period.

We could be energy-independent if it weren't for political asses and greenies
by Vincent Gioia

Before I got my first driver license I envied my young friends with cars. They ruled the neighborhood and had first choice of girls; I could only stand by and wonder what it would be like to be able to cruise down Main Street in my own "wheels" and eat at drive-in restaurants served by pretty car hops. Little did I know then that all this was made possible because gasoline was a bargain and fill-ups were affordable by most everyone.

If the Republican Party has lost its way, how can voters be expected to follow them?
by Vincent Gioia
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is the latest politician masquerading as a Republican to call for the party to change its ways and adopt Democrat policies to win elections. Some years ago Arnold said the Republican Party was in danger of "dying at the box office" if it failed to appeal to a wider group of voters. After successfully toppling former Democrat governor Gray Davis in a rare recall election, Arnold showed the way by becoming indistinguishable from the opposition party.

Mr. Obama, Don’t Try to Deceive Us With Your “Christian” Message
by Rev. Lainie Dowell

In a plea for the evangelical vote on May 20, Sen. Barack Obama is sending out campaign flyers that show him standing before a pulpit with the backdrop of a gigantic cross and church organ. And radio stations in Kentucky are blaring what “a strong Christian” he is. As Bobby Eberle writes: “Obama is blatantly campaigning not on issues, but rather on religion, and he is getting a pass from the media. Huckabee was criticized for a Christmas ad and Obama's blatant pandering to Evangelicals is not being covered.”

These are the times that try men’s souls
by Vincent Gioia
To use an old manner of description, the American elite are "to smart by half". It is absolutely incredible how much damage to an otherwise thriving society can be accomplished by a small group of elitists who consider themselves smarter than everyone else and therefore able to dictate to others what is best for them.

For real change, it's time to test voters
by Noel S. Williams
The Voting Rights act of 1965, which effectively did away with literacy tests, served its purpose. Our body politic has since bloated, even as its mind withers. Polls show that many Americans can’t name all the branches of government, or they believe that Karl Marx helped author our constitution. Surveys by Pew Research indicate that politicians get elected by people who don’t know their platforms.

Obama’s Psyche
by Joan Swirsky
We all know of people who make strange choices, but what about those who make self-defeating choices over and over and over again, so magnetized are they by spouses (and others) who are bad for them? The woman who marries a drunk, then a gambler, then a philanderer – the man who marries a gold digger, then a nag, then an iceberg. Time after time, this type ends up with a variation on an off-note theme, while friends and colleagues shake their heads and remark, “But he’s so smart…she’s so experienced.” That seems to be the universal reaction to last week’s near-implosion of Sen. Barack Obama presidential campaign, which left him the daunting challenge of explaining to a mystified electorate why his soft-spoken, non-combative, let’s-get-beyond-race-and-anger agenda has been threatened-cum-sabotaged by the people he is most attracted to.

Meet the Anti-Candidates - Nobody’s FOR Them!
by JB Williams
No matter which candidates campaign speech you attend, you will hear only how they oppose the positions of the other two candidates. You will hear very little about why you should support them, only why you should not support the others. That’s because there is little reason to vote for any of them. The fact is - most Americans would love to pull the lever for none-of-the-above! 50% of American voters have been pulling that lever for years now, having already thrown in the towel on elective self-governance by not voting at all. The other 50%, who still vote, cast their votes against the other candidates, not for any of the clearly under qualified misfits that now run for the highest office in the land.

Only Love Can Drive Out Hate: Just Words?
by Marie Jon’
Barack Obama first appeared on the national political scene as a uniter with hope and promise in his words. In 2004 when he gave his now-famous keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention, Americans saw Obama emerge as someone special and unique. He was young and oozed poise and charisma. Without a doubt, the Democrat Party had their future presidential candidate in its sights. Today, the Democrat National Party is stuck with nothing more than a leftist ideologue politician who uses empty words to astound those who sought after him.

When Gasoline Reaches $5.00 per Gallon, Thank Liberals!
Written by JB Williams
Financial Times reports “OPEC says oil could hit $200,” up from the record $120 a barrel today. If and when that happens, predicted to be this summer, the $3.50 to $4.00 prices you see at the pumps today will top $5.00 per gallon and you can thank liberal environmentalists for that! When Bill Clinton took office in January 1993, the average retail price of gasoline was $1.06 per gallon. By the time Clinton ran for re-election in 1996, that average per gallon price had become $1.25 per gallon, a 17.9% increase in less than four years. By the time George W. Bush took office in January 2001, the price of a gallon of gas had become $1.45 – a 36.8% increase in gasoline prices during the first Clinton era. Yet Hillary Clinton says she can solve this problem… and I hope she can, but let’s consider the facts.

Liberal "Social Justice" Portends New Dark Age
by Christopher G. Adamo
The American public, and Christians in particular, are being deluged once again with talk of the thoroughly ambiguous concept of "social justice." It is, after all, election time. Thus the pseudo religious among us must make their pitch for the Christian vote, on whatever spurious terms they can concoct. In its raw form, "social justice" merely references the prevailing societal attitudes of the day, relegating any defining standards of right or wrong, good or evil, and moral or immoral to a snapshot of the existing consensus. Biblical principles notwithstanding, "social justice" has throughout time been equally applicable to those crowds shouting "crucify him," the burning of "heretics" at the stake during the inquisition, and even the holocaust.

Hussein,” They Have Managed to Hide; “Barack,” They Can’t
by Rene Guerra
The “mainstream” media may attempt “sanitizing” Barack Hussein Obama’s relationship with America-hater and racist-bigot Jeremiah Wright, and they may achieve some Pyrrhic “success” among naives and idiots, but other big issues about BHO remain raw and latent, and to which all batteries should be aimed at, one at a time, at the proper time and in the proper fashion: The Democrats and the rest of the Left along with their main propaganda stooges--i.e., the “mainstream” media--with the RINOs at their tail, including of course John Sidney McCain III, have all intimidated America into not pronouncing the middle name of Barack Hussein Obama.

Bio-fuels - A Multi-trillion Dollar Mistake
Dick McDonald
It was only yesterday when the mass of humanity believed the world was flat. They reasoned that it looked flat so it must be so. That was a huge social and economic mistake. Recently another huge visual mistake has been made by humanity. They saw some pictures of a naturally occurring phenomenon and again incorrectly concluded that there was a serious problem – global warming. Rather than spending their time analyzing this potential “global warming” phenomenon the present day Flat Earth types, generously called “environmentalists”, sought to correct what has turned out to be no problem whatsoever.

Ceasefires in Islam: Not Always What They Seem to Be
BY Frank Salvato
It seems as though every other day we hear there is another “ceasefire” in the Middle East. This is chiefly because there is so much violent Islamofascist aggression throughout the Middle East but it is also because of something more. Just as there is no exact translation between the Arabic and English languages, we in the West would be wise to realize that this “inexactness” exists as a constant in the relationship between the cultures of Islam and Western Civilization. This convolution of conceptual understanding is aptly illustrated where the subject of military ceasefires is concerned.

by Vincent Gioia
Anyone that cares to learn about what is going on in the world is familiar with active jihad, the "holy war", conducted with terrorism and directed at the modern world in general and western civilization more specifically. But there is also another form of jihad that is part of the deliberate effort to have Islam replace all concepts of morality and the values held dear by the rest of us. The name of this silent "fifth column" effort is "Sharia Banking". Unfortunately, Sharia Banking is increasingly accepted by western banking institutions without any real understanding of what the Muslim goal is and what is at stake in the efforts by these institutions to attract more business, profits and money to bail them out of financial messes they brought upon themselves.

Democrats Offer Electorate Horrific Hobson’s Choice
Joan Swirsky
Thomas Hobson, an English stable owner in the 15th century, offered his customers two unappealing choices: either to take the least desirable horse or none at all. Six centuries later, we still refer to no-win (i.e., lose-lose) options as Hobson’s Choice. Welcome to the Hillary-Obama race! It simply boggles the mind that out of over-300-million American citizens, the best that the Democrat Party can offer its leftist followers is the choice between a pathologically lying socialist and a Marxist in liberal clothing. But looking at this near-empty glass in a rosier light, people who love America can be grateful that the longest presidential campaign in history has allowed them to see and hear the real Hillary Clinton and the real Barack Obama, and not the fabricated “packages” that their spinmeisters – including the leftwing media – have so relentlessly tried to conceal.

Egomaniac Rev. Wright
Drives Stake in Heart of Obama Campaign

by JB Williams
Just when it looked like Obama might actually survive the firestorm surrounding his connection to the racist pastor Wright, the good Reverend comes out of hiding to pour more fuel on the fire. The good Reverend is becoming about as helpful to Obama as Bill is to Hillary… With friends like this, who needs enemies? Well-known leftist ABC news commentator Bill Moyers set the stage for Wright’s National Press Club début by tossing Wright softballs to hit out of the park unchallenged. For a man who isn’t running for office, Wright sure has his campaign strategy down pat. Like an old Democrat pro, Wright even limited press club questions to previously cleared cue cards, his answers dripping from his lips before each question was even asked.

The Confluence of Religion & Freedom
By Nancy Salvato

“Textbooks today are trapped in an ideological straitjacket that, in contrast to the surrounding popular culture, restricts content and sterilizes social realities.” – The Mad, Mad World of Textbook Adoption. I’ve always enjoyed learning about history. When I look back on my history classes, it wasn’t because I was interested in reading the textbooks, it was the teacher who made history come alive, by inserting anecdotes that made it “real,” showing footage of actual events, or by connecting what happened in the past to the present. As a matter of fact, most of the textbooks I used put me to sleep. I loved to read and often wondered why we couldn’t just read books instead of textbooks to learn about people, places, and events.

By Vincent Gioia
When two people speak together a useful exchange of views requires that both adopt the same language and recognize similar meanings of words; otherwise discourse is meaningless and neither will understand the other. This requirement unfortunately is the reason Muslims and non Muslims cannot achieve a rational common understanding of issues critical to their existence together. Of all social concepts perhaps freedom, liberty and democracy are the most important. Freedom and liberty go together but democracy is in the eye of the beholder; which is to say to some democracy is a prelude to freedom and liberty and to others it is a way to impose, solidify and entrench their philosophy on a "democratic" population for all time.

GLOBAL WARMING? - AN OPEN LETTER TO JOHN McCAIN
Raymond S. Kraft
Dear Mr. McCain,
It seems that some leading Republicans such as yourself and Newt Gingrich, and even President Bush, have accepted the premise of Anthropogenic Global Warming - that man is spewing millions of tons of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere each year, and that this is causing an unprecedented rise in earth's temperature that threatens us all. And, that if we spend enough money to reduce CO2 emissions, we can change it. I urge you to reconsider. More than 19,000 scientists have signed the Global Warming Petition to protest the Kyoto accord, and declare their opposition to the theory that man's CO2 emissions are causing Global Warming. Editor's Note: Ray includes well researched analysis and graphics to make his point in this article.

The Natural Inequality of Individual Freedom
by JB Williams

America is politically divided down the center line between individual freedom and a so-called greater common good. Half of the country is trying desperately to protect and preserve a maximum level of individual freedom and liberty for themselves and future generations, while the other half is desperate to take from those according to their means in order to fill the perceived needs that they have failed to fill on their own. Many American voters are struggling to escape the reality that freedom isn’t free and never was. They try to hide from the fact that freedom to excel bears with it the freedom to fail, and run from the truth that although freedom is quite “fair,” - equal freedom will never result in equal outcomes.

In The Name Of Rationality And Reason
By Marie Jon'
We can reason and rationalize just about anything, including our lack of exercise and bad eating habits. We rationalize insensitivity to others' feelings because we live in a world that has become coarse and crude. Are we reasonable? Are we rational? How often does an alcoholic rationalize: "I can have one drink?" Marriages and homes are destroyed by acts of infidelity. Some men rationalize that watching pornography has no detrimental effect on their libido. Nothing could be further from the truth. God created us to enjoy sex, and within the bond of Holy Matrimony it is among the greatest of blessings. However, lives are destroyed by addictions that often begin as "innocuous" glances at pornography over the Internet.

Obama’s Descent Into Racism
by Paul R. Hollrah

In the past year, numerous writers and commentators have given us an occasional “pearl of wisdom” from Barack Obama’s best selling memoir, Dreams from My Father. Unfortunately, those snippets of information have not told us much about this naïve and overly ambitious young man who desires to become the president of our country. As Obama explains, the book was written as a direct result of the notoriety he gained from being elected the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. He tells us that, after some modest newspaper publicity, he received an advance from a publisher and he began to write, believing that the story of his family, and his efforts to understand that story, “might speak in some way to the fissures of race that have characterized the American experience…”

By Vincent Gioia
In the Bill of Rights, the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America states: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people." The wording describing the distribution of powers between the federal and state governments is very clear but 200 years after the amendment was adopted federal law makers have succeeded in subverting the language and intent of the amendment. Perhaps it was inevitable that those making our laws would succumb to the enormous power of office despite the clarity of vision demonstrated by the creators of the Constitution. This occurred when federal lawmakers discovered the tool to expand government control was the power of the purse.

Barack Obama: It’s More About His Choices
By Frank Salvato
Many of the more conservative talking heads – and even some on the Left side of the aisle who support Hillary Clinton – are espousing their concern about Barack Obama’s “associations.” They point to Obama’s spiritual advisor, Jeremiah Write, and note his “friendly” relationship with unrepentant domestic terrorists William Ayers and his partner Bernadine Dorhn and wax alarmingly about his willingness to associate with such people. Certainly, Wright, Ayers and Dorhn are interesting if not contemptible people but a person’s associations concern me less than a person’s choice to defend those associations. The moment the Jeremiah Wright issue was brought into the public eye the taboo of aggressively examining the background of the first Black man with a real chance to capture the presidency was lifted. Begrudgingly, the star-struck mainstream media – so in awe of Barack Obama’s “rockstar” political presentation – has begun, ever so apathetically, to cover the issues of his candidacy that the new media has exposed.

Hillary Versus Obama: Whose Lies Will Prevail?
By Chris Adamo
Perhaps the most striking conclusion to be drawn from this week's Pennsylvania Primary is that, despite its results, nothing in the Democrat Party's currently tangled state will change. And this would have been so, no matter how the election had unfolded. A mere win by Hillary, even with her ten-point margin over Barack Obama, was not sufficient to alter the course of this bitter race between the two liberal Democrats. Both sides assert reasons to still claim the political, as well as "moral" high ground. And neither would consider, under any circumstances, conceding the end game to the other, whether for the good of their party or the country.

The Security and Prosperity Partnership agreement continues to develop in secrecy
By Vincent Gioia
What do you do when the name of your pet program elicits loud criticism; you change its name of course. That’s what the leaders of Mexico, Canada and the United States did when the Security and Prosperity Partnership agreement ran into unexpected opposition after details of SPP became known, notwithstanding efforts to keep it secret and away from public attention. The problem is that regardless what you call it, SPP is still bad news. When Bush, Harper and Calderon met in New Orleans to continue their march toward a North American Union, the meeting was recast as a "North American Leaders Summit", the name was changed but the cast of characters and the plot remained the same.

The future you save, might be your own
By Vincent Gioia
Would you be as concerned about the price of gasoline for your car if the government paid half of the cost? Not likely, because escalating gasoline costs would not be a big deal if the net effect does not impact your budget. If you think this could not be done, remember the government owns the money tree; it can print as many dollars as it wishes. What about those selling gasoline? They would be thrilled with government assistance to their customers. Market forces of competition would not stand in the way of keeping prices high because the market would not be price sensitive. Eliminate competition for larger market share or greater sales volume and it is not necessary to lower prices to attract more business in order to make more profit.

Promoting Alternative Energy for the Right Reasons
Nancy Salvato
Nancy Pelosi and Newt Gingrich are featured together in a television commercial which focuses on how conservatives and liberals can come together to find solutions for problems caused by climate change. Mr. Gingrich’s explanation for joining this $300 million dollar advertising campaign is to force conservatives into debating liberals about the ways our country should best promote alternative energy sources. This in itself is a fine idea because I don’t know any person who wants our country to continue relying on oil for fuel. Most would agree that cleaner sources of energy are preferable. While there should be robust debate about how best to pursue alternative energy, I believe this ad is misleading because it presents these two political adversaries as working together to find solutions to the problem of climate change in and of itself, as if there is a scientific consensus that climate change truly poses the problems outlined in Al Gore’s movie, An Inconvenient Truth.

Barack Obama’s Snake Oil
By Joan Swirsky
Handsome, intelligent, charismatic, blessed with a golden tongue, and irresistible to his besotted followers, Elmer Gantry – the title character of Sinclair Lewis’s 1927 novel – inspired his supporters to swoon, indeed faint, at his seductive oratory. He told them they were “sinners,” then gave them “hope” that they could “change” if they would only follow his path to redemption. As it turned out, Gantry was a fraud – a sinner himself – ultimately exposed and discredited. “That’s not fair!” liberals protest. “Gantry was fictional.” True, but a character that resonated with the reading public because he was instantly recognizable as so many of the frauds in their lives.

The American Tragic Comedy that is Barack Obama
Dick McDonald

I find it a tragic human comedy that all Republican and Democrat talking heads let Obama’s enormous lie at the last debate go unchallenged and unreported. He says he “wants to change the way business is done in Washington.” Yet he states that “the tax code has been written by the well connected”. In no uncertain terms he declares the lobbyists, big business and the rich are the ones who have kept the poor poor and the middle-class from achieving the American Dream by manipulating the tax code. Now take a moment to realize how common that perception is. Then question yourself. Is that your perception?

It's not about saving the planet; it's about control
By Vincent Gioia
“Global warming”, now called “climate change”, is not about saving the planet, it’s about increasing government control of your life. Former communists and their socialists’ cousins have sought control of the proletariat for decades. In the past they succeeded in their own names but an enlightened populace has required them to change their names and their tactics. So today we have “environmentalists” and “man-made global warming” advocates pressing forward with the same objective. There is simply no other way to explain the zeal and near-religious fervor with which these people have urged their will on others despite the overwhelming evidence that their cause is unjust and the premise is just plain wrong.

The Real Obama Story Exposed! (Part I)
by JB Williams
Other than the honor of holding the most far left voting record in the U.S. Senate as a freshman law maker and former black activist from Chicago who has spent the last twenty years supporting the anti-American, anti-white hate sermons of Rev. Wright, we know very little about Barrack Hussein Obama… until now! The Obama campaign is centered on the simple notion of change. But what kind of change are we talking about here? The Obama campaign has remained vague about the specific kinds of change in their agenda, barking platitudes from the stump without offering any real information.

The Real Obama Story Exposed! (Part II)
by JB Williams
Part I of this series focused on the connections between Barack Obama, his heavy handed socialist cousin in Kenya and Obama’s roll in helping him come to power by way of violence. It covers information posed by an American missionary working in Africa and the African version of who Barack Obama really is… In closing, I raised the question, where is all that Obama money coming from, since it can’t be coming from the “poor” Americans he claims to represent, and his campaign web site asks what country his donors are from, indicating that they may not be from America. In Part II, I want to take a closer look at Obama’s international support, their idea of “change” and what roll the international community expects Obama to play in serving their agendas in the world.

This is not a time for childish games with China
By Vincent Gioia
It has been a long time since we had a popular craze similar to "pet rocks" but the time has arrived when it has become popular to buy into another childish game. The world is unhappy with the "human rights" record of China; and well it should. Except for the freedom to make money, capitalist style, China deprives its citizens of human rights possessed by at about 20% of the rest of the world. China is not unique in having a controlling government, but other countries are not hosting the Olympics for a while yet so attention is focused on the mammoth of the east who, incidentally, owns a big chunk of the United States debt.

Obama’s Pennsylvania Two-Step
by Paul R. Hollrah
Barack Hussein Obama appears to be a nice enough fellow, although, having leaped onto the national political stage, courtesy of the most corrupt big city political machine in America, one wonders what illegal and unethical shenanigans he’s had to either ignore or wink at that would make the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s sermons sound like children’s fairy tales. Obama travels about the country, inspiring crowds of tweed-jacket-and-tennis-shoe liberals, nanny-state blacks, self-described campus “intellectuals,” starry-eyed political “groupies,” and Code Pink radicals with his message of “hope” and “change.”

"We have met the enemy and they is us"
By Vincent Gioia

Recently Republican House Minority Leader John Boehner said: "In just the past year, this (Democratic) majority voted to cut funding for the border fence, opened the door to illegal immigrants to receive taxpayer-funded services without showing proof of citizenship and overturned a successful GOP proposal to prevent taxpayer-funded federal benefits from being awarded to illegal immigrants." To quote the long gone sage cartoon figure "Pogo", "we have met the enemy and they is us."

Obama’s Marxist Historical-Materialistic Perceptional Grasp of Small-Town America
Rene Guerra
A conservative friend of mine, whom I correspond with, wrote me in sarcastic terms that--regarding Barack Husssein Obama’s recent infamous aspersions on small-town America--"...Obama is correct if you change the wording slightly"; yes, BHO is almost correct...from the point of view of Marxist historical-materialism. That said, the two monumentally-revealing issues at the core of BHO's disparagements on small-town people for their "clinging to religion" are that, first, he inadvertently lowered the guard in a meeting that he thought was private and confidential and, second, and more impacting, he premeditatedly let his Marxism spew out of his big mouth, and in full force:

Jimmy Carter's Alternate Universe
By Christopher G. Adamo
If America must be reminded of just how bad things could get under the leadership of a wholly incompetent president, it needs only to recall the disgraceful and humiliating four years of the Carter Administration, beginning in January of 1977. Within the span of a single presidential term, Carter managed to thoroughly decimate the U.S. military, while simultaneously telegraphing the nation's vulnerability along with his absolute reluctance to exercise American power to defend American interests.

Which is a more serious threat, Islam or liberalism?
By Vincent Gioia

Like many people, not liberals of course, I have believed the greatest threat facing the United States is from Islam; more particularly, the Islamic Nazis. However after listening to Rush Limbaugh recently, I am now convinced the greatest threat we face is from liberalism. Of course the Islamic thing is a very real external threat but liberalism will cause destructive fundamental changes in our country and our way of life if we let it and our freedom will not be far behind. In Limbaugh’s own words: “"I have to tell you guys something. Without question the biggest threat facing this country is liberalism.”

“We Support our Troops!” Do You Really?
by JB Williams

For too many years now, socialist whiners masquerading as your granddaddy’s Democrats have been maligning our troops in battle in what I will call a traitorous fashion, all the while screaming at the top of their lungs, “but, we support our troops!” From Senator Jay Rockefeller’s private trip to the Middle East weeks after 9/11 to warn our enemies that Bush was going to attack Iraq, to Baghdad Jim McDermott’s “Bush is a Liar” tour, paid for by known terror sponsor groups, to John Murtha’s many slanderous remarks from the floor of congress, they have gotten away with far too much for far too long.

Change Doesn’t Come by Electing a President
By Frank Salvato

We have heard during this presidential election cycle – ad naseum – how our country is in dire need of “change.” We are promised by each of the candidates that they are the ones – the only ones – who can bring about this much needed change. Of course, this is all disingenuous politicking. The fact of the matter is this: the office of the presidency is quite limited in its power to affect any change at all. The real entity capable of affecting immediate and dramatic change in government, the governmental branch with the real power, is the Legislative Branch.

The Hypocrisy Of Rev. Jeremiah Wright
By Marie Jon'
Add the Reverend Jeremiah Wright to the list of race-hustling, misleading double-speaking con men who just so happens to wear a pastor's collar. Certainly, we are all too familiar with their names. Their demagoguery is infamous. They are often deemed by the media as the leaders and spokespeople of the black community. In his lust for power, Wright, a haughty man, did irrefutable harm to every parishioner at Trinity United Church of Christ. Whether they know it or not, their minds have been deliberately poisoned by a man who demeans their human worth.

My Fellow Conservatives,
By JB Williams
The conservative movement in American politics has never been more fractured by in-fighting than it is today and we must find a way to fix it, fast. In the good ole days, all of my hate mail came from sniveling liberals angry with my ultra-conservative message about the founding principles and values that made America the greatest nation in earth's history. But today, most of my hate mail comes from self-styled conservatives and angry Republicans who can't seem to agree on what it means to be Republican, much less conservative. I believe that we are headed for a disastrous loss this November and that such a loss can forever change the direction of this nation in an irreversible leap into pure Democratic Socialism that will soon after, be the ruin of my beloved country. If I'm right, it will be "conservatives" who cause it, not liberals.

Don’t You Dare Follow The Money!
Joan Swirsky

It’s been 34 years since “Deep Throat” advised Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein (as documented in their book, “All the Presidents Men”) to “follow the money” in the Watergate case that resulted in President Nixon’s ignominious resignation. In rooting out political corruption, that advice still holds, one of the latest examples being the payment schedule that Democrat New York Governor Eliot Spitzer was caught on tape trying to negotiate with his prostitute of choice. But Spitzer’s self-destructive, career-destroying behavior, like Nixon’s, is small potatoes compared to the filthy-lucre trail of Bill and Hillary Clinton. In reviewing only a small number of the shady deals both Bill and Hillary have made over the years, it should be clear to any sane American that entrusting Hillary with the U.S. presidency will...

The Pentagon… Whose Side Are They On?
By Paul R. Hollrah
The American people now find themselves under attack by the most numerous and the most brutal enemy that any civilized nation has ever faced – the only enemy ever to seriously threaten the lives of every man, woman, and child in America. In a conflict such as this the most critical weapons we can have are not nuclear weapons, high performance aircraft, great warships, or massive numbers of tanks, artillery, and infantry. The most important weapon we can have in this war is information… solid, actionable intelligence. In a September 2006 column we reported that a critical new technology called Computerized Voice Stress Analysis (CVSA), the most significant new development in the science of truth verification, was being purposely denied to our military intelligence units in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo by policy directive from the Pentagon.

American Salvation
Dick McDonald
The American salvation I speak of is not economic or social as America has no economic peer on the planet nor societal structure that delivers greater freedom to the individual. No America is doing fine irrespective of its nay Sayers and internal enemies. What I speak of is the fact that social and economic policies exist in the way we run the country that must be changed to elevate the status of individuals over that of the state. For too long policies rooted in socialist dogma have dominated the operation of our government and in turn created a bureaucracy that has sapped self-reliance from many of its citizen and made too many dependent on the state for their very existence.

Obama’s Empty Formula For 2008
By: Christopher G. Adamo
Wyoming cattleman J. Randall “Randy” Stevenson, a vocal advocate of American agriculture and American enterprise, warns that this nation is “Increasingly outsourcing its sovereignty while importing its dependency.” In these few words, he encapsulates the real challenges facing America, which ultimately eclipse any threat from abroad, whether that of militant Islam or the Chinese efforts to establish hegemony over the world economy. Stevenson has amassed plenty of knowledge on the subject, having witnessed first hand the orchestrated efforts of multinational beef packagers and distributors to manipulate and restructure the market in their own favor, often with the collaboration of sympathizers at the highest levels of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Swinging Like Monkeys from the Branches of the Liberty Tree
By Frank Salvato
Recently, in a Chicago suburb, a village trustee was issued a citation for disorderly conduct when she informed two less than discerning parents that the trees of the village were to be respected as elements of nature, not utilized like playground equipment. The citation was issued after the parents mistook verbiage used as that of being racist. It should be disturbing to all of us that a citation was issued because of words used in a non-aggressive fashion. Even more disturbing is that our society is willing to disregard free speech rights in pursuit of political correctness.

The Unavoidable Need of Effective Democracy in Iraq
Rene Guerra
Last week Bill O’Reilly interviewed entertainment-investor Wayne Rogers about, among other directly related matters, Roger’s vocal and activist opposition to America’s efforts in Iraq. Although the two disagreed antithetically on almost everything about the subject, they agreed on the baseless contention that imposing effective democracy in Iraq is worthless, and a great waste of precious blood and lots of money. To debunk such allegation, all one needs is to ask the following one-line elementary, but very powerful, question: Which effective-democracy has ever inflicted physical aggression on America?

Is the RNC Getting the Message Yet?
by JB Williams

The RNC is not the GOP. It’s only a collective national action committee for the state Republican parties, a fund raising and steering committee. Yet for far too long, the RNC has assumed increasing power over the political process to the detriment of the party. Voter complacency and apathy towards the political process has left control of the party in the hands of a few centrist party elites and conservative voters have lost faith in their own party as a result.

"... from each according to his means"
By Vincent Gioia
If congress has a bill that needs to be disguised from the public, they are masters of coining titles so that the public is confused into thinking the legislation is worthwhile. Actually, this ploy may be useful to finagle the law passed other legislators who generally don’t take the time to read what they are inflicting on an unwary public. Some examples that come to mind are the Energy Security and Independence Act which provides neither security nor energy independence, and the Campaign Finance Law which may have been better titled the Incumbent Protection Act.

We can win in Iraq, but will Democrats let us?
By Vincent Gioia
The appearance of General Petraeus at various Senate Committees and the testimony he gave about the situation is Iraq was in stark contrast to the questions and comments by Democrat presidential aspirants. The General set the example of what is good about the United States and represented the spirit of thousands of men and women of our military in Iraq fighting for the safety of their country. The Democrats in contrast could only think about political advantage and what they could do to cause our country’s defeat at the hand of terrorists who want to destroy us; for them the question is not what we can do to beat back terrorism, it’s what can be done to surrender to it.

America’s Fifth Column
by JB Williams
America has a growing enemy within. This enemy is referred to by experts as America’s Fifth Column. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, the term Fifth Column refers to “A clandestine group or faction of subversive agents who attempt to undermine a nation’s solidarity [unity] by any means at their disposal.” Does such a group of subversive agents’ intent upon undermining American unity actually exist today? If they do, who are they, what are their methods and what is their goal?

The truth about carbon credits
By Vincent Gioia
Achieving a global carbon credit mechanism continues to be at the top of the agenda of the three contenders for their party’s presidential nomination despite numerous scientific studies concluding that warming of the entire solar system is part of a natural cycle. Non-stop propaganda from the news media and politicians continue to blame man made carbon emissions for warming the planet.

Our National Security Demands that We Learn All About Obama
Rene Guerra
“Did you know that for the first year of every Deputy Sheriff's career in California, he/she is required to work that year in a jail. Why? It is so that they will know about sociopaths, who can lie to you while looking you in the eye. It is so that they will learn that people can commit horrible crimes, and then rapidly construct totally believable stories exonerating them.” That’s what wrote to me a few days ago Dave Hollenbeck, an insightful retired California Highway Patrol officer, in a simile regarding Barack Hussein Obama’s “charm” and “eloquence”, as related to Obama’s articulate lying, rapidly diminishing credibility, and ulterior motives.

Risky Misreading of Democrat Turmoil
By: Christopher G. Adamo
Rush Limbaugh is enjoying the ensuing success of his "Operation Chaos," his ongoing effort to weaken the political prospects of the Democrats by prolonging party infighting between the Hillary and Obama camps. But despite Limbaugh's exuberance, the Democrat Party is alive and well, and could under the right circumstances, resuscitate itself very quickly. Sadly, many of the conditions necessary for such a scenario result from the collaboration of inexcusably gullible Republican "moderates." Willfully ignorant of past experience, they are again buying into the inane notion that partial concession to fundamentally flawed liberal principle is a worthwhile tactic by which to improve the political climate.

Women in Islam: Suffering the Barbary of an Ideology
By Frank Salvato
News spread quickly that anti-Islamofascism activist Dr. Wafa Sultan has gone into hiding, along with her family. They are in hiding because of her participation in a recent debate on Al-Jazeera in which she challenged Egyptian Islamist Talat Rheim over Dutch cartoons of Mohammed and the ideology of Islam in general. For her truthful criticisms of Islam Dr. Sultan earned a fatwa, a “religiously” decried death sentence, from an Islamic scholar. That she criticizes Islam is enough justification in the eyes of the radical Islamist to kill her. That she is a woman infuses into the fatwa an unbridled viciousness and a need for expediency.

Will ethanol enthusiasts have to give up reading?
By Vincent Gioia
As more and more is written about ethanol, global warming fanatics who think humans are warming the planet may, like the smoker who read so much about the bad effects of smoking he gave up reading, will do as their tobacco-addicted counterparts want to do.Corn prices have soared to $6.00 a bushel, an increase of over 30% in just the first four months of this year. The usual reason for high prices apply, demand exceeds the supply.

In Spite of His Words: Rev. Jeremiah Wright
By Marie Jon’
It seems that the image of Reverend Jeremiah Wright (former pastor of presidential candidate Barack Obama) is being expiated after offending Americans with his inflammatory, bigoted and anti-American words. The divinity wagons have been circled to protect the bombastic preacher in spite of his words. Brite Divinity School honored and recognized Rev.Wright at their fourth annual State of the Black Church Awards Banquet for his 40-year ministry linking divine justice with social justice.

The cure is worse than the disease
By Vincent Gioia
Years ago during the phony oil shortage motorists waited in line to buy gasoline, sometimes for hours. All sorts of schemes were proposed including buying gasoline only in alternate days depending on your license plate number. With gasoline shortages and high prices, one not so funny joke circulated ridiculing the plight of those needing to use their cars for work and other necessary travel.

"Have you noticed Democrat solutions to anything always involve spending more money and giving the government more control?"
By Vincent Gioia
Democrat presidential contenders both want change for the country; and this campaign mantra seems to be appealing to many Americans, at least during the primary season. However on those few occasions when Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama make even small attempts to explain their disingenuous claims to make the country better through the vague concept of change, it looks like anything they succeed in doing will be paid for by those among us that work for a living.

Agents of Division Bring Devastating Change
by JB Williams

For more than 200 years, a nation of immigrants from all parts of the world, all races, all cultures, all religions and all languages, have stood together as one people united only by a simple single set of principles and values that made them the most free, prosperous and powerful people on earth. No matter their backgrounds, their past, they chose a brighter future united in the common purpose of individual rights and rejected the chains of division.

Is Hillary Mentally Ill?
By Joan Swirsky
Newspaper articles and TV specials have made most people familiar with the psychiatric disorder called Munchausen-By-Proxy, in which a person (usually a woman) or a parent (usually the mother) makes herself or her child sick – by poison, overmedication, smothering, etc. – and then reports the dire symptoms to authorities, thereby garnering the attention and sympathy she craves, as well as heroine status for “saving” herself or her child.

Racial Memories
By Alan Burkhart
It hasn't been that many years ago that America was still too backwards for a black man to have any chance at our highest office. But in spite of the incoherent rantings and ravings of so-called “black leaders” ranging from Obama's own Jeremiah Wright to the quirky Louis Farrakhan, America has indeed rounded the corner. Politics aside, I am proud of the fact that an African American can actually run for high office with a legitimate chance of victory. Mind you, I'd prefer Alan Keyes, but we're not debating Left versus Right here.

After Four Thousand Fallen Braves, We Must Go to the Jugular
Rene Guerra
Four thousand lives of the bravest Americans in Iraq after, unconscionably, the strategists directing the global war on Islamofascism---a war that we must fight and unequivocally win--- persist on limiting the war to mainly putting down flare-up manifestations of Islamofascism here and there.

Red, White, and Black?
by Paul R. Hollrah
The major pundits, Democrats included, tell us that Barack Obama has been severely damaged by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright debacle. As they explain, Obama is so new to the political world that no one knew much about him. He was a clean slate. Well, that slate is no longer clean and it's about to get worse. Now it seems that, while Obama's mentor of the last twenty years has been a virulent anti-American racist, his mentor during his prep school years in Hawaii was a well-known communist, Frank Marshall Davis.

Second Amendment Under Fire - District of Columbia v. Heller
by JB Williams
As the U.S. Supreme Court considers the matter of “gun control” in the District of Columbia, many Americans understand that the issue is about “control” not “guns.” It’s no secret that guns in the hands of law abiding citizens threaten only those seeking control over those citizens, be they criminal or over-reaching government. It’s also no secret that no law will keep guns out of the hands of criminals, who by definition don’t care what any law says.

Religious Freedom or Murder?
By Alan Burkhart

In the USA, our Constitution guarantees our right to worship as we choose. We do not however, have the right to force harm upon others in the practice of those beliefs. Eleven year-old Madeline Neumann is dead because her parents refused to get her the medical care she needed, deciding instead to stay home and pray for her.

Stop the Presses! Hillary Lied!
By: Christopher G. Adamo
So Hillary was caught in a brazen lie about her 1996 trip to Bosnia, in which she lately claims to have landed in the midst of a sniper attack, even having to duck and run for cover at the airfield. Is anyone surprised? Certainly nobody who has dispassionately observed the Clintons on the national scene over the past sixteen years, nor the forthright citizens of Arkansas who witnessed such behavior for much longer than that.

About that Ignominious Speech . . . McCain’s
Rene Guerra
In his March 28, 2008 column, "McCain's Incoherent New World Order," Accuracy in Media's Editor Cliff Kincaid tells it like it is, and, in the process, John Sidney McCain III unavoidably results demolishingly-exposed naked . . . as the liberaloid he in reality is. John Sidney McCain III showed, for all to see, that he is about half as dangerous to America as Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Diane Rodham-Clinton are.

The Magic Transition
Dick McDonald
When I tell people that the Rise Up America plan has a way to simultaneously 1. place $1.3 trillion in payroll taxes annually collected by the government into personal accounts owned by the tax payer and immediately invested in the stock market to ignite the creation of new businesses and jobs, 2. pay $1.1 trillion in Social Security and Medicare benefits to participants, and 3. magically increase the value of the US Dollar heretofore crippled by the overuse of the printing press
I get looks that can best be described as “Are You Nuts?” So I best explain.

The Insolent Arrogance of the Progressive-Left
By Frank Salvato

A recent event in Chicago illustrates the arrogance and narcissism of the Progressive-Left – and in particular the anti-war Progressive-Left. During Easter services at Holy Name Cathedral Catholic Church in Chicago, six anti-war protesters staged a political demonstration disrupting religious services. They shouted generic anti-war slogans and squirted fake blood on themselves and the parishioners in attendance. Their goal was to attract attention to themselves and – therefore – their cause. It worked.

A Tale of a No-Spin-Zone Heartburn
By Rene Guerra
I went to bed past midnight, my stomach spinning like a top, with a horrible heartburn as if having gulped a cocktail of sulfuric and hydrochloric acid. I made the terrible mistake of turning the TV set on. There he was, Bill O’Reilly, in one of his Factor taped-repeats, interviewing Karl Rove about America’s ongoing stabilization efforts in Iraq. There he was, spurting mouthfuls echoing unqualifiedly the sentiments of our ignorant masses about America's efforts in Iraq: “not worthy either blood or treasury,
